Finish options
Lacquered nosings arrive factory-sealed and ready to fit, which is the most common choice when matching an already-lacquered floor. Oiled nosings suit oiled floors for the same reason, giving a consistent look and finish across the whole staircase. Unfinished nosings are sold bare, sanded and sealed on site to match a bespoke stain or finish, which is the right choice if your floor itself was finished on site rather than pre-finished at the factory.
