    Tradition Nature Parquet Flooring

    Displaying 3 results3 items

Every block in this range is 70x22x280mm in size, solid oak, sold unfinished, in either Prime or Rustic grade. Prime grade gives a cleaner, more uniform look with fewer knots, while Rustic shows more natural character across the blocks.

    Surface texture

    • Smooth — a flat, even surface, sanded and sealed on site to a uniform finish
    • Saw marks — a textured surface that keeps visible saw-blade marks from milling, giving a rougher, more rustic look before finishing
    • Tumbled — a further texture process that softens and rounds the block edges, giving a worn, aged appearance, available on the Rustic grade specifically

Because all three blocks are otherwise identical in size and species, texture is really the main decision here, alongside grade.

    Fitting and finishing

Being unfinished, every block needs sanding and sealing on site once fitted, giving full control over the final colour and sheen. As with other solid parquet, these blocks are glued or nailed directly to the subfloor rather than floated, and aren't suited to underfloor heating.

    FAQ

What's the difference between smooth, saw marks, and tumbled textures?
Smooth gives a flat, even surface. Saw marks keep visible milling marks for a rougher, more rustic look. Tumbled goes further, softening and rounding the block edges for a worn, aged appearance.

Why is this range sold unfinished?
Selling it unfinished lets the whole floor be sanded and sealed as one continuous surface after fitting, giving full control over the final colour and finish rather than settling for a factory pre-finish.

Is the tumbled texture available in both grades?
It's available on the Rustic grade specifically in this range.
